Carlos Prata
Was born in 1950 in Porto, where he always lived.
He completed the school part of the Architecture Course at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto in 1975, having been awarded it in 1980 - after the presentation of an internship report and provision of public proof classified with 18 values - the diploma of Architect with the final average of 15 values.
Between 1980 and 1990 he was an assistant in the Territory Analysis discipline of the Architecture Course at the Escola Superior de Belas-Artes do Porto and in the Project discipline of the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, having been a member of the Board of Directors and Pedagogic and the Assembly ESBAP Representatives.
In 1999, he was invited to resume teaching activities at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto, being currently Assistant Professor in the discipline of Project IV.
He was a member of the Directive Council of the Northern Regional Section of the Association of Portuguese Architects (AAP), between 1986/1990 for two consecutive three-year terms, of the National Council of Delegates of the AAP between 1992/1995 and of the National Directive Council of the Order of Architects between 1998 / 2001, and Chairman of the Board of the General Assembly of the Northern Regional Section of the Order of Architects, between 2001/2010.
