Rui Passos

Born in Porto in 1954.

Graduated in Architecture by the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Lisbon, he developed his activity for several years in the area of services and commerce, having designed and / or remodeled numerous buildings for this sector.For the company Shell International, it developed the worldwide chain of Select convenience stores, in an integrated work of Design and Architecture with projects carried out in Oslo, Copenhagen, London, Bilbao, Vitoria, Madrid and Lisbon.


Also for Shell in association with the firm of Architects Swanke Hayden & Connell Int., it develops the design and design rules for the company's headquarters offices in Europe, having in this scope been the author of the rehabilitation and remodeling project of the headquarters building of this company in Portugal, at Avenida da Liberdade, in Lisbon.


In 1995, in association with Architect Raúl Chorão Ramalho and at his invitation, he created the new headquarters and complex for Social Security in Funchal for the Regional Government of Madeira.
In 1999, he created the firm Rui Passos, Arquitectura e Rehabilitation Urbana, Lda. Currently, in addition to participating in the Quinta do Bom Sucesso project, where he is also the General Project Coordinator, he is carrying out the new headquarters building of the Empresa Nacional de Seguros de Angola, in Luanda and the integrated tourist and hotel complex, Vale da Ribeira, in Stª Cruz, Torres Vedras.
